The first major breakthrough in twenty years in snowmobile skis is being introduced to the consumer at five major snow shows this fall. Twin Track Ski is a unique approach to snowmobile skis that haven't changed to a large extent since the early sleds hit the snow in the early 1960's. A concave bottom forms a floatation tunnel, allowing the twin edges to be more effective in steering response. Five years of testing and development have gone into the ski, and it is now ready for presentation to the public. Early indications relate the change in handling and safety to a high degree. "It's like switching to radials on your car" was the reaction from one test driver during the filming of the Twin Track last spring in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The film will be shown throughout the Snow Shows in Chicago. Green Bay, Buffalo, N.Y. Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. The Twin Track film is also available to interested snowmobile clubs, and Associations in Fairchild 8 mm Cassette form, by writing to Twin Track, PO Box, Brainerd, Minnesota 56401

Scott's comment:
The deep front of the channel forced lots of snow under the ski for flotation. Turning effort was limited because the channel depth was gradually reduced towards the rear.
