Split Rail skis NO KEEL – NO PUSH

It is obvious to me that in the beginning these carbides were a factor in heavy steering and as they dulled the sled started to push.

NO KEEL – NO DARTING

Split Rail skis will DART following Ski Doo's Precsion skis just like Precision skis dart following Simmons skis and Simmons skis dart following Precision skis. This is true because the "Laws of Physics" treat all skis the same because similar profiles follow similar ruts!!! There is only a 1/2" difference between the Split Rail and Precision ski carbide gaps.

The third season after the Precision skis came out the darting got serious. Simmons skis even started darting once the number of sleds with Precision skis reached critical mass. The gap between the carbides was over an inch.

No Heavy Steering

Turning – When the handlebars are in a full turn the inside keel carbide of the outside ski is the only carbide making significant contact to make the sled turn. I'm sorry but snow flowing over the downside keel only adds downward pressure in their dreams! The pointed plastic edges on each side of the wear rod will round off quicker on hardpacked trails than on deep snow.
