USI Shaper Bars

OVER PRICED???

The cross section drawing of the bar is fictitious, because they used the taller Aluminum bar and added the turning carbide.

USI advertised that their Shaper host bar was made of SUPER WEAR RESISTANT HARDENED STEEL for many miles of sure-footed riding.

These bars FAILED the Hacksaw/File tests proving they are only mild steel.

Their other claims are as BOGUS as their claim of super wear resistant hardened steel!!!

Only the carbide that penetrates into the ice is gripping from the side when cornering. As the 60 degree edges round off the grip is reduced.

The claim the average turning radius is tightened is only a matter of opinion, because of all the veriables.

They claim there is no increase in the effort to turn the handlebars, however they said the same thing about their, NOTORIOUS HARD TO TURN - PROJECT-X and SPX skis! Go figure!!!

The effort to turn the handlebars is increased and the sleds will dart, on groomed trails!

Shifting the rider's weight, over the track is needed to turn a sled in powder snow. Snocross racers use the berms in the corners to deflect the sled around the course.
