Bergstrom Skegs

These 8 inch skegs are off of a 2005 Yamaha Vector. They have a little over 5,000 miles on them.

I ride in north west Maine our trails are groomed, flat and fast, but have areas of plowed dirt roads with active logging operations usually short sections up to a couple of miles. We also get thin areas on some windblown hills.

I work for a Kawasaki dealer and have access to all makes of parts, I have compared these skegs to several other brands and find them to be superior quality. Friends have used other brands and usually get 1,200 to 1,500 miles from them.

The carbides are not totally worn out but I am noticing a little sliding on ice and lack of turning getting into and out of gas stations. So I decided to install a fresh pair and some new Ski Saver.

I'm also running Bergstrom 8" Triples on a 2007 Yamaha Apex ER and loving them as that sled just didn't steer before I put the Triples on the sled.
