To whom it may concern, The enclosed 6” carbides from Simmons have been used less than 1,500 miles on northern Wisconsin trails. As you can see, the front edge of the runner has worn down significantly, thereby exposing the leading carbide wear pad. As a result of the exposed carbide wear pad, the carbide caught on a railroad crossing and bent the trailing arm resulting in a $240 repair bill. The back half of the carbides are still in good shape but the loss of material at the front of the rod has rendered these carbides useless and actually dangerous. Darren N.
