Camoplast reps tell us they’re on their 8th version of actual stud type used on the Ice Claw and they’ve got the retention issue licked.

I find it interesting but, at the same time, disheartening for those who got the prior 7 versions!

Since tracks come with sleds all you really need are Trail Grabbers to be safer.
121” Ice Claw Track with 240 studs are $598.00
240 - Trail Grabbers = $240.00 retail or $180.00 off-season.
Save $358.00 to $418.00

136” Ice Claw Track with 270 studs are $658.00
270 – Trail Grabbers = $270.00 retail or $202.50 off-season.
Save $388.00 to $455.50

4 per row, the usual suggestion,
would be $192.00 or $144.00 for 121” tracks
and $216.00 or $162.00 for the 136” tracks.

Scott's Comments:

Camoplast's pre-studded tracks have 3 downsides.

#1. Is that the sharp carbide points dull and diminish their bite, for the first season!

#2. Over the following seasons the stud points will continue to round off, until you are no longer as safe!!

#3. Their studs can not be replaced!!!
