Carbides and Ski Savers
Just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the excellent products. When I ordered runners, you sent me 1/4" and 3/8" Ski Savers because I had 144 studs. The 3/8" Ski Savers worked excellent, the difference in the reduction of darting and increased bite in the corners is remarkable for such a simple product. The stock Ski-doo flex skis are not that great, but they sure work well now. The durability of the carbide on your runners has really impressed me. I rode through some very bad conditions last year and they are still sharp for a second season of riding. I've never experienced that with other brands. Thanks again for a very above average product, we will spread the word.

Attached are four pictures of my sons skegs after removal, thank God for your Ski Savers, if they weren't installed he would now be buying a $160.00 ski.
They truly work, maybe now I can convince a few more of my buddies to use them.
They were ridden about 850 miles, mostly in Northern WI and the U.P. of
MI... 60% riding in the woods with decent snow and 40% on railroad right
of ways that lacked snow and had stone surfaces coming through. They were
on a 99 Yamaha 600 DLX with SRX plastic skis on it.

If you remember me, I was the guy that placed an order for bars, grabbers and Ski Savers and picked them up at Novi. They were for Yamahas and you gave us some 1/2" Savers to try and asked for feedback.
I put the 3/8" ones on my wife's sled and the 1/4" ones on my son's and none on mine for our Xmas trip. Great snow conditions and temps.
With me following, my family I noticed my head was moving side to side more than theirs. When we were riding with another group and still following, I traded sleds with my wife. What a difference. The rest of the trip I was ticked because I didn't bring the Savers for my sled I didn't think it could make that big a difference.
The next trip in Jan. my sled had the 3/8" Savers installed. Snow conditions were bad as the temps were warm and the snow was wet and heavy. My sled handled 100% better while my family's wasn't as good as they were at Xmas. That means that with the Savers in poor conditions they were better than without in great conditions. That says it all. I haven't tried the 1/2 ones yet but am pleased with the results with the others.
Thanks Ron C.

We talked on the phone for some time last week and you sent me some ski savers. They came in on Thursday just as we were pulling out to head to the Houghton, Michigan, in the upper peninsula.
When we arrived at our destination, we put them on two of the three sleds. We put the 3/8" pair on my 1997 Yamaha XTC and the 1/4" 2001 Yamaha SX-R and left the third Yamaha XTC without. We wanted to be able to compare the two sleds with the savers and the one without.
The riding conditions were excellent with no ice. Within the first hour, it was very apparent how well the ski savers were working. They almost completely eliminated darting on the sleds that we had installed them on. We took turns following each other on well groomed trails.
When you watched the sled without the ski savers go over the trails it was obvious that the rider was having trouble with darting. The sleds with ski savers in front of him and behind him going over the same trails barely went off track. This made for a very enjoyable ride for the entire four days we were sledding.
Another advantage we found with the ski savers was it the turns. Everyone these days wants to put the longest carbide runners on the ski.. This may work well if you are running on ice but really is not much help in good conditions. We found that the ski savers improved the turning performance in the turns while running on good snow.
Your product made our riding experience very enjoyable for the entire ride and I would not even think of taking one of my sleds out without having ski savers on them.
I forgot to mention also that they protect the ski from premature wear. Again thanks for making a great product.
