1990 – BARE PAVEMENT This test is quite simple. We tested the Bergstrom Skegs hardsurfacing bar against Roetin's (Masterwear) and Snow-Stuff's—(Hard Bar.) Each brand of hard weld filler rod was independently attached to a tow-behind jig. Each brand of wear rod was also independently weighted with 119 pounds. The hard weld rods were then dragged down bare pavement. The bigger and brighter the sparks... the faster the material is wearing away! |

All the host bars shown above are 3/8" diameter.
O.E.M. rods were shot after only 2 miles of dragging.
Our Bergstrom wear rod did not spark as much as the others
because ours had not worn through it's hardsurfacing yet.
Sparks don't lie!
